Social Media Aggregator

The founder of this firm didn’t have a technical background but was determined to create a Hootsuite-like aggregation site from scratch. He had hired developers to create an alpha version of the product, but didn’t know what to do next when he started talking to us. We set up focus groups in his desired user demographics and collected their thoughts and preferences. We also completed a full competitive analysis so he could see what other services offered. In the end, he completely redesigned the product based on the feedback we provided.

HazMat Training

This firm trains emergency first responders how to handle hazardous material situations. The co-founders had successfully grown the business to over $1 million in annual revenues. The problem was that it couldn’t scale – it was completely dependent on the knowledge and expertise of the founders, and they were spending their lives traveling all over the world from session to session. Furthermore, they had no operational processes or procedures, so they were feeling increasingly disorganized. We were able to develop a synchronized suite of operational tools using free Google products. We also helped them develop a “train the trainer” model to set them up for future, and worked with a web designer to update and modernize their web site.

Training Nigerian Entrepreneurs

This firm was a nonprofit who had an EDA grant to train young Nigerian professionals in how to start their own businesses. The Nigerian government was offering them some financial support to get them started. The agency had done the classroom training and the students had developed business plans. However, they lacked the entrepreneurial experience to really ensure that the plans were viable. They subcontracted with us to travel to Nigeria and work with the students both one-on-one and in a classroom setting over a two week period to hone their plans so they were ready to launch.
